This page is under construction. I plan to have mainly ecology/marine biology/marine chemistry stuff here, with a little politics thrown in.Right now I'm just testing out the editing functions on this page, so bear with me. I'll be really thrilled when I log back onto this page and read things like, "Newt Gingrich sure was a great big dickhead; boy am I glad he's gone," and "I'll be glad as hell when I finally finish this fucking Ph.D. and get the hell out of graduate school and the hell off Dauphin Island."

Boy, I sure do feel better now, even though I'll have to change all this text the next chance I get.

Anything you read today about ecology or the environment tends to be polarized. It's either purposefully distorted information from some brainless minion of Rush Limbaugh or, I hate to say it, someone who has genuine concern for the environment but has never had the first science class.

What this page is really about is providing information that is both ironclad fact and aimed at debunking the trees-cause-air-polution loons that seem to be popping up all over the USA.

(By the way, the trees-cause-air-pollution thing is not an exaggeration. It's an actual quote from Ronald Reagan.)

Science

I'm going to have all sorts of science connections here just as soon as I learn the hell my way around. As for now, I have to be content to typing crap into the page editor and being amazed when it actually shows up later on the page.

Politics

Okay, I hate Republicans. I know this sounds prejudiced, but I have a good reason for this. It's because most of them are self-righteous assholes. Also, Although I admit I have met many Republicans who weren't xenophobic, bigoted dickbrains, it still remains that every xenophobic, bigoted dickbrain I've ever met happens to be a goddamn Republican. Go figure.The links below are temorary. I pulled them out of my favorite places file as a test to see if everything is working right.

	Dave Barry Miami Herald Archive Dave doesn't have much to do with ecology or oceanography, but he's funny as hell and lives in south Florida, so that's close enough.
	Jules' Undersea Lodge- Key Largo, Florida This is the only underwater hotel in the world. Well worth the trip. You do have to be SCUBA-certified to stay there since the entrace to your room is under 20 feet of water.
